Vienna - the capital of the North Pole

Vienna - the capital of the North Pole!

It was minus 2C when we left the ship for our morning tour of Vienna and a wind chill factor more like minus 8C.

This church was across the road from where our ship was moored and we all ooh and aahed at its beauty only to be told that although it was lovely it was only around 120 years old so very new for Vienna.

We went for a drive around the Ring Road which was a great way to orient ourselves in the city.  Then we went on a walking tour of the city centre and saw the following buildings:

 St Stephan's Church
Statue near the Hapsburg Palace and close to the Spanish Riding School - we did get a quick peek at a couple of the horses as they transported them from the stables to the riding school
The Austrian Parliament which was one  the way to the Christmas Markets :).

My impression of Vienna?  Beautful city but very cold!!!!!!!!! I would love to see it in spring or summer :)
